Fine art original painting: Female Nude - June 2001...

Female Nude - June 2001... an original oil painting on linen, of a female nude, in shades of blue, flesh tones, and red.

I painted the picture during periods at Maryland Hall, Annapolis, Maryland.  The original painting is available for sale, $1,700.00.

I do a lot of my work using a computer and a very powerful open source image program, GIMP.  When I have developed a sketch, then I will often develop a full painting, oil or acrylic/oil on linen or paper. You can link here and  here  for more about this.

This picture is an original oil / acrylic painting of a female nude, seated, accomplished in a traditional-modern contemporary style. The colors are mostly flesh, yellow, with red and green "extras". These original charcoal and oil sketches are painted in a more contemporary style, on unstretched canvas or watercolor paper. The mood of the sketches is deliberately casual.

My original direct digital images are developed using GIMP software, based on my own original paintings and sketches; manipulated to present different style/color presentation and experience.

One of my recent pictures, Inanna 7th Gate Decent to the Underworld.
